System Settings

Several tabs under System Configuration tune how Nexa retains data, mounts metadata, and frames its AI with industry context. This page covers System Settings, Retention Policy, Metadata & Mount Settings, and LLM Context for Industry. Editing is available in the dev environment; higher environments show these values read-only.

The System Settings tab (shown as Recommended System Settings) is a read-only reference of the recommended platform baseline, grouped into expandable sections:

  • Cluster Configurations — recommended compute sizing for the deployment (for example cluster node count, memory, and storage).
  • Access Controls — the expected access posture, such as role-based access and required two-factor authentication.

Use it as guidance when your platform team provisions and hardens the environment.

The Retention Policy tab sets how long data is kept before it is eligible for cleanup.

Field Description
Duration A positive number. Must be greater than 0.
Duration type One of Days, Weeks, or Months.
Rules Free-text description of the retention rule.
  1. Open System Configuration → Retention Policy.

  2. Enter the Duration and choose a Duration type.

  3. Enter a Rules description.

  4. Select Submit. All three fields are required, and the duration must be greater than 0.

The Metadata & Mount Settings tab (Metamount) points Nexa at an external metadata source — such as a contract or data dictionary — used to enrich processing.

Field Description
Mount Point The mount location for the metadata source.
Source Reference A reference identifier for the source.
Contract Upload Upload a .csv contract file (drag-and-drop or click). Status shows Pending Upload or Uploaded.
Auto-generated Context Default context text applied during metadata processing.

The LLM Context for Industry tab supplies domain context that Nexa’s AI uses when reasoning about your data — for example telco, finance, or healthcare terminology and patterns.

Field Description
Industry Domain The industry for this deployment (e.g. Telco, Finance, Healthcare, Retail). Set for the install.
LLM Context Free-text context describing your industry, conventions, and expectations for AI-assisted generation.
  1. Open System Configuration → LLM Context for Industry.

  2. Review the Industry Domain.

  3. Edit the LLM Context text to describe your domain and conventions.

  4. Select Save. The footer shows when it was last updated.

This context feeds AI-assisted features such as the AI Assistant and mapping suggestions, so keep it specific to your industry and data.
