Domain Master
The Domain Master tab (under System Configuration) is where you register the business domains that organize your data — for example Finance, Sales, or Operations. Domains give entities and generated artifacts a consistent, short code so teams can group and reference work by business area.
Manage domains in the dev environment; the add and edit controls are hidden in higher environments.
Domain fields
Section titled “Domain fields”| Field | Key | Required | Rules |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain Code | domain_code |
Yes | Uppercase only; letters, numbers, and underscore (_). No spaces or other special characters. Entered text is auto-uppercased. |
| Domain Name | domain_name |
Yes | Human-readable name, e.g. Finance. |

How domains are used
Section titled “How domains are used”Domains provide the business-area grouping that other parts of the platform build on — pairing with the Business Glossary for glossary terms and entities, and giving generated artifacts a consistent naming prefix. Define your domains before mapping entities so the codes are available when you build data flows.
